Today Neuratron released PhotoScore Ultimate 8, its latest version of the venerable music scanning and recognition software for Mac and Windows PCs.Integrated into the software is a desktop version of NotateMe, which the company says has already been downloaded on hundreds of thousands of devices around the world. And with NotateMe Lite now included, you can quickly handwrite scores using a tablet and stylus, or on your laptop with a mouse or trackpad, and then send to Sibelius for finessing. The software can read printed scores using a scanner, or notation from a PDF, JPEG, bitmap file (Windows), or TIFF or Pict image (Mac). PhotoScore Ultimate 8.0 for Mac is free to download from our application library. This software for Mac OS X is an intellectual property of Neuratron Ltd. Some of the program aliases include 'PhotoScore Ultimate Demo', 'PhotoScore Ultimate 7', 'PhotoScore Ultimate 6'. The common filename for the program's installer is PhotoScoreUltimateDemo.dmg.

Mac OS X TWAIN driver software; Apple Preview or Adobe Reader 6.0 or later for viewing PhotoScore’s PDF help. Sibelius users note: Although PhotoScore will work with Sibelius 3 or later, it is recommended that you use Sibelius 5 or later, as it has greatly improved PhotoScore importing capabilities. To use PhotoScore & NotateMe 8 for Mac OS X your system requires the following hardware: An Apple Macintosh Intel with Mac OS X 10.6.7 or higher. It should have at least 512MB RAM. Your computer should also have a reasonable amount of free hard disk space – at least 40MB and preferably rather more.
